Hello, my name isKristina
Mirabeau. Actually, my last name is Mirabeau-Beale, but I
prefer to use just Mirabeau. I am an only child and I live with my
parents inMiami, Florida. My mother's family is from
Jamaica, and my father's family is from the French
island of Guadeloupe (Notice the French last name???)
At my high school in Miami, I am in the International Baccalaureate
program, and I am fluent in French.
Even though I am an only child, I love being around people. I am very
talkative, and I have a lot of good friends. Still, when I'm in new
surroundings, I can be very reserved, and just watch people. I love,
sitting around and thinking about the meaning of life. Sometimes with
the rigors of my high school classes, I do not have time to enjoy the
little things in life. I always make special time to relax, because I
think that is just as important as working hard.
In school, I am involved in many activities. I am the editor of the
school newspaper, president of science honor society, vice president
of French honor society, and secretary of Amnesty
International. Outside of school, I am a board member for
Hands on Miami, a student division of the United Way.
