I have been working as an International Space Station Life Support Systems Flight Controller in the Mission Operations Directorate. A month ago, I was just promoted, and am now the manager of the group I have been working in. |

| Life After MITE2S | An odd journey took me from MITES to where I am now. On the way, I majored in Biochemistry, then Political Philosophy and Medicine, I lived for five years in a community centered around mentally handicapped adults, and in the meantime, I fell in love with how cities were made. Presently, I work with brininging together resources to build ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable neighborhoods in Greater Cleveland through the Cuyahoga Valley Initiative (http://www.cuyahogavalley.net). |

| Life After MITE2S | After MITES, I attended and graduated from MIT. I worked around Boston for 4 years doing software R&D, first at BBN then at Mitsubishi Electric. I took a break in 1999 to attend graduate school at Cornell. Since finishing at Cornell I have been working as an independent software consultant where I specialize in the design and implementation of Java-based enterprise systems. I live in Chicago with my wife Adriana. |

| Life After MITE2S | Licensed attorney with ten years of legal experience involving civil and commercial practice, at both federal and state court levels, on contractual disputes, construction, insurance, products’ liability, foreclosures and collections, and bankruptcy, particularly collections and creditors’ rights litigation. Ms. Colon has represented numerous clients, including various finance companies, in a wide variety of cases, ranging from contractual disputes, creditors’ rights, collections, bankruptcy, construction law, and insurance and bond claims. She has also been actively involved in the preparation, negotiation and execution of the documents for complex and diverse types of commercial transactions for the acquisition of real estate, equipment, and other assets, and for securing diverse types of financing agreements. Ms. Colon is a member of the Florida and Puerto Rico bar, and has offices in both jurisdictions. She is also a duly licensed real estate broker. |

| Life After MITE2S | Moved to California for college and enjoyed the weather too much to leave! Had fun riding the internet wave the year before the market crash as the health content editor for drDrew.com, traveled on an expense account, worked with the Surgeon General, and then went back to residency before everyone got fired. I have been playing violin in the Santa Monica Symphony for 11 years, actually reading all the books I was supposed to read in college and practice pediatrics in Los Angeles. I still think my team's bridge should have been 1st, not second. MITES was one of the highlights of my educational experience! |

| Life After MITE2S | I have gone every which way. After graduate school I worked as a Human Factors Engineer for a couple of years and then as a Systems Engineer for several more, both for Raytheon. Then I quit to be home part-time with my kids and run my own business part-time. With my business, we teach dance classes at daycare centers to kids ages 2 1/2 - 6. I am still small, since it is part-time, but I have a few employees and it has been successful. I have been married for 10 years to my college sweetie and have a boy who is 5 and a girl who is 3. I would LOVE to hear from some of you! |

On the non-technical side, I went to the World Cup this summer and attended all three of USA's matches. Oh, and I finally made it to Argentina, for new years, '04-05. |
